Project Overview
In rural communities across underserved regions, thousands of women face the risk of childbirth without access to basic medical supplies. The Safe Motherhood Kits Project is an ongoing initiative dedicated to ensuring that every mother has access to clean, safe delivery supplies and that every newborn enters the world under the best possible conditions.
Since its inception, our project has successfully distributed over 12 clean delivery kits to expectant mothers in remote villages, directly contributing to safer births and healthier outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
To eliminate preventable maternal and neonatal deaths by providing essential clean delivery supplies and promoting evidence-based maternal health practices in underserved communities.
1. Clean Delivery Kit Distribution
Each comprehensive Safe Motherhood Kit contains:
- Sterile gloves
- Scissors
- Sterile cord clamp
- Antiseptic soap
- Clean birthing sheet
- Gauze pads
- Instructional materials
Impact: Just $10 sponsors one complete Safe Motherhood Kit, directly supporting a safe delivery.
We provide ongoing training for local birth attendants and midwives on:
- Clean delivery practices
- Infection prevention protocols
- Emergency recognition and referral
- Postnatal care guidelines
3. Community Health Education
Our awareness sessions educate communities about:
- Prenatal care importance
- Nutrition during pregnancy
- Danger signs requiring immediate medical attention
- Postnatal care for mother and baby
