Her Health, Her Right – Reproductive Health Education

Project Status: Ongoing Initiative
Project Overview
The “Her Health, Her Right” program is a comprehensive reproductive health education initiative led by RUWRA (Rural Women Empowerment Association) that provides essential reproductive health knowledge to women and girls in underserved communities. Through culturally sensitive and safe educational approaches, we are currently serving 300 women and girls, with plans for continued expansion.
To empower women and girls with the knowledge, resources, and dignity they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health through accessible, culturally appropriate education and support.
Community Education Forums
- Led by: Trained local health educators
- Focus: Comprehensive reproductive health topics including family planning, maternal health, STI prevention, and menstrual hygiene
- Format: Interactive sessions designed to address community-specific needs and cultural considerations
Menstrual Health Support
- Distribution: Sanitary supplies and menstrual health kits
- Education: Information booklets covering menstrual hygiene management and reproductive health basics
- Accessibility: Ensuring all participants have essential supplies for dignity and health
Youth Engagement Initiative
- Target Group: Teenage girls aged 13-19
- Approach: Peer-to-peer education led by trained youth advocates
- Content: Age-appropriate reproductive health information and life skills development

Program Expansion: Ongoing recruitment and training of additional health educators to increase reach
